PAT AMOS

Pat Amos is an advocate for children with disabilities. Three of her own four children experience significant sensorimotor challenges, and all of them are enjoying interesting and rewarding lives.

Kathy Wigfield said: The best day of my life was the day I met Pat Amos. She's the best, a magnificent person. She has helped in many, many ways. She is helping with legislation in New Jersey. And besides all that, she has a great sense of humor!

Pat holds her M.A. degree and has been an advocate for people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their families for more than 20 years.

She is a founder of Autism Support and Advocacy in Pennsylvania (ASAP), a founder of The Family Alliance to StopAbuse and Neglect, past president of the Greater Philadelphia Autism Society, a founder and past president of the Autism National Committee.

Pat has served as a member of the executive committee of Pennsylvania's Developmental Disabilities Council.

Currently she serves as the Vice President for Development of TASH and on the Steering Committee of the new national Alliance to Prevent Restraint, Aversive Interventions, and Seclusion (APRAIS).

Pat will be a speaker at this year's TASH conference, as she has been at many other conferences:
