With a bold preface stating that the public should be outraged by deaths of all children, Hamilton County Coroner O'dell Owens discussed the details of his office's autopsy investigation of Marcus Fiesel's remains.

Owens said that under state law, only Brown County Coroner Dr. Tim McKinley is able to speak about the specific cause of death of Marcus Fiesel, but he was able to confirm that gasoline was used to burn Marcus' body.

Owens said that his office has been working with fragments of eighteen small orbital and wrist bones so small that he could fit into the palm of his hand.

All of the remains were found in one area within the chimney where they were recovered.

When asked, Dr. Owens said that his office had presented their findings to the Clermont County prosecutors before they decided on the indictments for Liz and David Carroll on Wednesday.

He said that it would be helpful to find other body parts and that he believes the search is still ongoing for remains allegedly dumped in the Ohio River.

Owens said that when dealing with burned bodies, a lot of evidence is lost which makes the forensic investigation a bit longer.
