CAN WE IGNORE THIS ANY LONGER?

  The Cutting Edge: Tranquility Bay:
Disturbing look at the booming tough-love industry in the United States

It's a frightening thing when other countries are doing
exposės, making statements like "...  the methods used
by these camps ... amount to abuse, physical and
psychological. Some foreign countries have been
concerned enough to shut the camps down ..." They
also stated "talk about tough love gone mad ...", and
  they are right.

There are websites created by victims of abuse at
  Tranquility Bay. (www.tbfight.com)

The truth of the matter is that there are too many reports, too many people with similar stories
coming forward about what they witnessed and experienced there. Too many to ignore.
Sadly, this facility is still open, still running strong, still housing hundreds of children

Closed by Samoan Government)

"Because of what I went through at Pacific Coast Academy I feel like the world is going
  to end every day
."

Children were forced to do excessive forms of
exercise and were made to lie in positions such
as these for hours on end, until their bodies shook,
their muscles too weak to hold their arms and
legs up any longer. This is nothing short of torture.

One of the girls said she remembers what she felt the first day in Samoa: ``When I first got there,
I hit the Bible, saying, ``Oh God, save me.' ''

  SPRING CREEK LODGE, MONTANA (WWASP)
   "The Hobbit"

Psychologist John France testified his child was forced to stay in the Hobbit for almost 9 months

(taken from the WWASP v. Scheff press release)

  During his stay …

  • He was kept in this small, cold structure without adequate heat or food
  • It was so cold the orange he stowed away at night froze by morning
  • He had to urinate in his drinking cup in the night
  • He scratched the words, “Let Freedom Ring” on one of the shelves where he slept during his ordeal

  WWASP’s High Impact, Mexico

Bathroom accommodations at some facilities are atrocious

There is absolutely no privacy of any kind when showering or using the restroom

Utah Jury Sends Message to WWASP
  August 6, 2004

Some of the jurors cried as they watched video clips of the “Box,” where American
children were reportedly hog-tied, hand-cuffed, duct-taped, starved, and slugged by staff

One WWASP victim who had been trafficked by WWASP through 5 of their programs sobbed in
court as video clips of children in dog cages were shown

This is a picture of a child whose hands were tied to the corners of the cage, in the scorching
Mexico sun

One boy went down to 80 pounds during his confinement at WWASP’s Paradise Cove

He was hidden from television reporters

His confinement within the WWASP Empire of children’s programs ended 4 ˝ years later
with his removal from the cages at High Impact

WWASP, the largest corporation in the industry, continues to keep some 2,400 or more
children from all over the United States in its programs each year

President Ken Kay and founder Robert Lichfield say their numbers are growing with today's
social problems

They deny all allegations of fraud, child abuse and neglect

The company admitted to annual revenue in excess of $90,000,000 from all its corporate
shells – that was in 2004 and the numbers continue to grow
